IFS Logistics Certification: Renewed certification confirms highest quality standards at the Schumacher Group
The IFS Logistics certificate, part of the International Featured Standards (IFS), is an internationally recognized standard that evaluates quality and safety in logistics – from transport and storage to distribution. It helps ensure transparency and traceability and strengthens customer confidence in the professionalism of logistics companies.
For us at Schumacher, certification has been a continuous confirmation of our high standards since 2012. It applies to the transport of packaged food products – ambient, chilled, or frozen – as well as non-food products in retail. At Schumacher Lager & Logistik GmbH, we also focus on the highest quality: Here, certification covers the storage, handling, and picking of packaged food products in the refrigerated area (e.g., dairy products, confectionery, beverages), the assembly of packaging units, labeling, weighing, and packaging – especially in the area of co-packing of confectionery.
Quality, safety & trust: SLE GmbH and Schumacher Lager & Logistik GmbH of the Schumacher Group once again meet the IFS standards at a higher level.
For Schumacher Spedition, it has been an integral part of our quality promise since 2012. Our current scope of coverage includes the road transport of packaged food in wholesale and retail containers – ambient, chilled, and frozen – as well as the transport of non-food items for retailers. In the most recent unannounced audit, we were confirmed to achieve a higher level of compliance with 95.62%.
Schumacher Lager und Logistik GmbH has also been separately certified since 2017. The scope of certification includes the storage, handling, and picking of packaged food in the refrigerated area, including dairy products, confectionery, and beverages.
It also includes the assembly of packaging units, labeling, and weighing and packaging of confectionery, for example, in co-packing. This audit was also passed at a higher level with a score of 96.96%.
Certification by TÜV NORD takes place annually and is based on a demanding audit process that objectively evaluates both processes and structures. What’s particularly gratifying is that both companies once again met the requirements at a higher level – even during an unannounced audit. This is clear evidence of the continuous development and commitment of our teams.
The IFS Logistics Standard is a crucial quality assurance tool in the industry, offering our partners and customers security and trust. For us, it’s not just an external seal of approval, but an expression of our own commitment to professionalism, responsibility, and sustainable logistics.
