Customs basics for import & export – trainees’ insight into the customs system
Recently, our trainees had the opportunity to take part in the “Customs basics import/export for beginners” event organized by the Aachen Chamber of Industry and Commerce took part. The event, which took place in Düren, provided participants with a comprehensive introduction to customs and foreign trade and offered valuable insights into the complex processes of international trade.
Central topics of the training included:
- The basics of customs and customs and foreign trade law
- Special rules and regulations within the EU internal market
- Important aspects of payment and delivery terms in international trade
In addition to the informative content, the event was an excellent opportunity to network with participants from various sectors such as foreign traders, freight forwarders and industrial clerks. Thanks to the personal contact with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the trainees now have access to competent contacts and can obtain direct advice on import and export processes.
Another highlight was the opportunity to register for the IHK Foreign Trade Day NRW on June 25, 2025. With the early bird ticket, all interested employees can take part in this event and benefit from further valuable input in the field of foreign trade.
Our trainees not only took away important information for their day-to-day work, but also represented Schumacher at the event.
