Schumacher - Your reliable logistics partner
Family Company
since 1931
The freight forwarding company Josef Schumacher Tiefkühl-Frischdienst-Logistic e.K. was founded in Aachen in 1931 by Josef Schumacher. Initially, the business focused on regional transport services within the Aachen area. However, the first, more complex services were soon added.
Today, the company—SLE GmbH & Co. KG—is a well-positioned, mid-sized logistics provider specializing in frozen, fresh, and confectionery logistics. In addition to traditional logistical services such as national and Europe-wide transport, transshipment, and warehousing, the company is particularly renowned for its expertise in fresh food logistics.
In the confectionery logistics sector, the company has distinguished itself by developing and operating individual, tailor-made solutions for complex logistical requirements, such as warehouse management and co-packing. With approximately 400 employees, around 200 managed refrigerated vehicles, and some 120,000 $m^2$ of managed logistics space, Schumacher is one of the leading providers, extending its reach far beyond the Aachen region.

In addition, this digital data serves as a valuable tool for controlling, fleet management, and accounting. It also provides the basis for minute-by-minute ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) tracking—one of the most critical factors for optimal route planning and highly efficient order fulfillment.
