EcoVadis – international sustainability rating platform

EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading providers of sustainability ratings for companies. The platform assesses organizations in four key areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Its goal is to create transparency, promote sustainable business practices, and support companies in systematically improving their environmental and social responsibility throughout their entire supply chain.

With a standardized and internationally recognized rating system, EcoVadis provides an objective basis for making sustainability performance measurable and comparable. The assessment is based on documented evidence and is aligned with established standards such as the UN Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and ISO 26000.

Worldwide, over 130,000 companies from more than 180 sectors already rely on EcoVadis – from small and medium-sized enterprises to globally operating corporations. The rating not only helps identify strengths and areas for improvement, but also serves as a crucial tool in sustainable supply chains: business partners can thus specifically collaborate with companies that meet high environmental and social standards.

EcoVadis thus makes a significant contribution to making sustainable business practices measurable, comparable and visible – an important step on the way to more responsible and future-oriented corporate management.

Our contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

With our commitment to sustainability, the Schumacher Group also contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – the global goals for sustainable development. These 17 goals were adopted by the United Nations to create a socially just, environmentally sound, and economically stable future by 2030.

Particularly relevant to our daily work are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), Climate Action (SDG 13), and Life on Land (SDG 15). Through energy-efficient logistics solutions, investments in modern building technology, fair working conditions, the promotion of diversity and equal opportunities, and the responsible use of resources, Schumacher Lager & Logistik actively contributes to achieving these goals step by step.

For the Schumacher Group, these 17 Sustainable Development Goals are more than mere targets. We implement them not only because legal regulations require it, but because we believe in their importance and want to actively contribute to a more sustainable future.

Sustainability in logistics is not a trend, but crucial for resource conservation, climate protection, and long-term competitiveness. The Schumacher Group focuses on sustainable solutions that consider the environment, customer requirements, and market position equally. Responsibility and sustainable practices have always been part of our corporate philosophy.

We thank our employees, customers and partners for their commitment – only together can we create a sustainable future.
